On completion of this unit you will:
- Understand breed characteristics in a range of dog breeds
- Understand the basics of evolution and pack dynamics
- Understand how to manage, deter or remove nuisance dogs from the immediate environment
Unit 3: The Effect of Diet on Canine Health and Behaviour
On completion of this unit you will:
- Understand canine nutrition
- Understand dog walking with multiple dogs
- Understand how to manage risk when dog walking or pet sitting
- Understand the equipment requirements for day care and dog walking activities
- Know about the provisions in the Animal Activities Licensing Regulations 2018 (AAL) and how these relate to dog walking and pet sitting activities
Entry Requirements
Learners should be educated to Level 2 standard and be comfortable in the presence of both dogs and cats with whom they are unfamiliar, and a minimum age of 18.

You have 24 months to complete your course.
Certification Timeframe
Learners can expect their certification within 6 months of completing the course, following the (EQA) External Quality Assurance of assessment.
Course Fees
All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.
*You will have access to the course for 24 months.
