Entry Requirements
• No formal qualifications are needed to train to become a professionally qualified dental nurse. • A good level of written and spoken English is required. • Min age:16 years • Min requirement of 16 hours per week within a dental surgery.

12 – 36 months (three years from the exam registration)
Assessment requirements
• formative workplace assessment – the Record of Experience. • The summative assessment comprises a written and practical component aimed at assessing knowledge and decision-making to demonstrate trainee Dental Nurses’ understanding and competence.
Placement or Practical required
YES: min requirement of 16 hours per week within a dental surgery.

Exams required
The NEBDN examination is in two parts and you will need to pass Part 1 before you can take Part 2. Part 1 is a written exam consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and extended matching questions (EMQs). Part 2 is a practical examination consisting of a series of objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs). These clinical examinations are designed around simulated situations which you may commonly encounter in the workplace. Once you have passed Part 2 of the examination you will be awarded the NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing and you will be eligible to apply for registration with the General Dental Council as a qualified Dental Nurse

Additional requirements
• NEBDN registration fee not included with enrolment. • Fee can only be paid once unit 1 assignment in Atom has been signed off • Completion of the RoE prior to written exam (Part 1) • UK based Dental Practice with a GDC registered witness
Certification Timeframe
Up to 12 weeks from exam date.
Course Fees
All course fees, inclusive of all payment plans including our Premium Credit Limited option, must be settled before certification can be ordered.
*You will have access to the course for 24 months.
To become a qualified Dental Nurse, you will need to pass an exam after completing the course and you will be assessed through a work placement.
*Please note, your exam fee is not included in the course price.
Upon successful completion of the course and the exams, you will receive a Diploma in Dental Nursing, which is equivalent to Level 3, accredited by the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses. The qualification replaces the National Certificate in Dental Nursing and will make you a qualified Dental Nurse.
You will also be eligible to apply to the General Dental Council (GDC) Register.

Face to Face Lessons are held in Central London on a biweekly basis. The perfect option for students who prefer a more traditional classroom setting.
Hybrid – Lessons are held alternatively in classroom and the live online with a tutor. In both formats, you are taught by the same tutor in a fully interactive session where you can meet other students and ask any questions.
Live online and interactive – Live online lessons are at a set time with a tutor. This is an interactive classroom experience where you can ask your tutor questions and interact with other students.
